Welcome!

My name is Robert and I’m professional game programmer with over 7 years of experience in the industry. For almost half a decade now I’m dealing daily with Unreal Engine during my work.

Daily Unreal Column

The main idea behind this project is to send one and only one message to the newsletter subscribers containing a short write up or a tip related to Unreal Engine and it’s ecosystem. They will often be engineering oriented, containing snippets of code, but there will be tricks that are useful for everyone, enhancing your experience your day to day experience during work. There might be posts about new and existing plugins and why I think they might be good for your project and how to use them. Every now and then there might be a news that is not strictly related to Unreal Engine but will be game development related regardless.

If the above promise sounds interesting to you, please consider subscribing and never miss a Daily Unreal update.

More about me

Throughout my career I’ve worked on multiple games, however the only major released one until this day is Arboria.

I’ve also released two Unreal Engine plugins:

with the latter one being open source under MIT license.

While I’m mostly using Unreal Engine during day work, during the night I am fiddling with a game for a Playdate console, modding Gameboy consoles, making something weird using Raspberry Pi or Arduino microcontrollers, or playing games.

Every now and then I do fiddle with other things like making games for Playdate, modding Gameboys or creating something with Raspberry Pi Pico or Arduino microcontrollers. I’m up for anything that requires some soldering and engineering so don’t be surprised to see a post on any of the above!

I’m also a proud owner of quite extensive collection of, almost, all Nintendo’s handheld consoles. I still actively use my Gameboy Color to play some Mario’s Picross 2.
